About Kate Atherly
Kate Atherley is a popular teacher, designer, and general
knitter-about-town. She teaches regularly at a number of shops in
the Toronto area, including Lettuce Knit and The Purple Purl, and
also at the DKC's Winter Workshops and Knitter's Frolic, and the
Creative Festival. She has a strong technical bent - she's Knitty's
Technical Editor for Socks, and she puts her University of Waterloo
Math degree to work as often as possible in her designs and
teaching; she loves challenging work, particularly lace and socks.
Kate's most recent design, the Vampire Boyfriend Sock published on
Knitty, caused a minor sensation. You can find her and her designs
at www.wisehildaknits.com
