Are you using the same old cast on for all your
knitting projects, without considering which stitch pattern
follows? When a pattern specifies an unfamiliar cast on, do you
find yourself avoiding that project? Our first session will arm you
with an arsenal of cast ons, and a knowledge of which one is most
suitable for each knitting project.
When you get to binding off your stitches, do
you always use the same method, worrying the whole time that your
“bind off loosely” isn’t quite loose enough? Does the prospect of
kitchener stitch intimidate you? Do you stall on a project because
you just aren’t sure how to close off those open stitches in the
best way for that particular piece? In our second session you will
learn a variety of ways to finish off your stitches and which method
is best suited to each project.
Participants must be able to cast on, knit,
purl and bind off with confidence.
