Have a question? Kate will answer it! Struggling with a project? Kate will get you out of a mess!  Kate has been teaching knitter for 10 years, and this class answers all the questions she has ben asked most frequently in that time:

Why are there so many different ways of doing an increase, and which should you use where?

What’s the big deal with gauge? Do I really have to swatch all the time? (Hint: no!) We’ll explain when it’s critical, and when you don’t need to. And share shortcuts to take to make it less painful.

How and when and why to block?

What’s the best way to join a new ball of yarn, and how to weave in ends so they really won’t pop out?

How to pick up stitches neatly and evenly every single time?

What’s a selvedge edge?

Why does every knitter need a crochet hook?   In addition, we’ll share amazing tips and techniques to making the process more fun and the  finished items look better: how to read the sizing information so you pick the right size garment to make; how to make sure you’re not going to run out of yarn; how to cast off loosely.

All those things that aren’t explained in the pattern: we explain them.

This lively and interactive session is idea for newer and less experienced knitters who want to expand their skills and broaden their knowledge.  If you’ve got a question or a problem, bring it along!
