Mittens 101 with Kate Atherley - ONLINE CLASS- Wed. Dec. 3rd

ONLINE CLASS- Wed. Dec. 3rd 6:30-9:30 EST ZOOM CLASS
*** this Zoom class is recorded and you will have access to it for 2 weeks
Mittens are not only a key winter wardrobe item, and a great gift, but they're also a terrific way to learn some new knitting skills. This class takes knitters through a mini "training" mitten – a classic cuff-up mitt with gusset thumb – so that they can learn everything they need about making mitts in a short amount of time, and then gets them started on a pair of full size
mittens. We’ll also talk about how to make fingerless versions, and other style and fit customizations.
skill level: advanced beginner - knitters must be comfortable with knit, purl and ribbing; some experience working in the round is preferable but not absolutely required
materials: students should bring: scrap medium-weight yarn & 4mm/US #6 DPNs or magic loop; for the full-sized mitts, 220 yds medium-weight wool or wool-blend yarn
