3mm tip - Use with Fingering and Lace yarns
4mm tip - use with Light Worsted, DK and Sport yarns
5.5mm tip - use with Chunky and Worsted yarns

The tips on these punch needles can be inserted so they are between 1" (2.5cm) to 1.5" (3.8cm), which produces a 0.5" (1.2cm) to 0.75" (1.9cm) long loop.

Our new Jumbo Punch Needle is perfect for making heavy duty rugs using extremely thick yarns. With a 15mm tip, it can easily work with yarns such as Cascade Magnum, or Estelle Bulky! Beech Wood, Natural wax finish. Handle length: 5", circumference: 3.75"

The tips on these punch needles are 1.5" (3.8cm), which produces a  0.75" (1.9cm) long loop.
